Oh man, I became a regular reader/occasional commenter too late to join in on the Cohen debate. Had I been in on it, I would have suggested Koan, which is my husband's name. It's pronounced the same as Cohen, but comes from Zen Buddhism. Its the name for a paradox that a master would give to a student to provoke enlightenment.
Oh well, now you can add it to your endless catalog of lovely names!
